I.  INTRODUCTION

This past summer of 2003, the Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation committee worked with the Sisters in their country on further applying the SFP Declaration for Peace together with the Earth Charter. The committee felt that integrating the two documents would assist all of us to realize how all social issues are interconnected and influence the hindrance or progress towards a just solution of each one. We selected common elements from our Declaration for Peace and the Earth Charter for further study and application in our lives. The Five Common Elements chosen are listed in the links following this introduction.

As we know from those we follow: Jesus, St. Francis, and Blessed Frances Schervier, each small step we take towards establishing the God's Reign of love and peace on this planet, makes a difference. The following reports describe the steps we've taken as a Congregation in Brazil, Italy, Senegal, and the United States, this past summer and fall.
