CELEBRATING ST. PATRICK’S DAY

For the feast Sister Anita McArdle and our Sisters in Mt. Alverno and Schervier Pavilion invited us to Mount Alverno for a lunch and celebration on March 17. There were about thirty Sisters, Associates, relatives of Sisters, and friends including Sister Tiziana Merletti and Sister Mary Veronica Donohue from our Congregational Leadership. Sister Tiziana Longitano from Italy, who had been in the U.S. for the meeting of the Congregational Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Committee, attended and was greeted with great warmth.

Along with a delicious lunch prepared by the Mount Alverno Dietary Department we were entertained with Irish music and dance. Our Sisters who have an Irish background attempted to introduce some of us, including our Italian Sisters, to doing some of the Irish dances. Each of us took home Irish soda bread prepared by Sister Anita. We thank Sister Anita and our Sisters in Schervier Pavilion and Mt. Alverno for their wonderful hospitality.
