Life at Mater Christi Formation Center Burkina Faso |

Dear Sisters, Associates and friends, Peace and every good! How are you?
Four months have already passed since I arrived at Mater Christi Center for my formation in becoming a Novice Director. I am at Bobo Dioulasso in Burkina Faso and am sorry for not having given you any news for awhile. Let’s try not to waste precious time and get to the point . . . I am busy following my formation program and it has been difficult for me to use the Internet. So I hope you will understand my involuntary silence! I am doing very well and the process is moving along. The end of the year festivities went well and the program started again in January. These courses take place every two years. We are 36 people of different nationalities and we come from ten countries. We live in small communities, each comprised of six people. I am a member of the Joy of Martyrdom Community. My fellow members are a Brother of the Holy Family of Vallet, Sister Amédé Kantoussan, from the Marist Sisters of Senegal, Sister Antoinette Tine, from the Sister Adorers of the Holy Sacrament (Senegal), Sister Chantal Nakanabo, from the Sisters of the Holy Family of Rouez (Ivory Coast) and Sister Alphonsine Kavira, from the Oblate Sisters of the Assumption (D.R. Congo). The other communities are: Source of Our Joy, Mirror of Holiness, Gate of Heaven, Mystical Rose and Mary, the Queen. We have a busy schedule! Here is a small sample of what we are studying during these months:
When this formation course concludes on June 17, I will have my spiritual exercises and will also meet our candidates and their families before returning to Senegal. I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Lent, a good walk in the desert and a good conversion time. May the grace of the Most High God always help us on this path of conversion, for our salvation and for the salvation of the world. Thank you for your prayers, which sustain and accompany me. You can also count on my prayers. I know they are small compared to yours, but I raise them to the Lord for you. Take care. God always loves you and me also . . . In the union of prayer . . . Fraternally, hugs and kisses, Your Sister, |
